Samsung announced Tizen powered smartphone named "Samsung Z1"

         

 Samsung announced a new Tizen powered smartphone named Samsung Z1 in India. This smartphone is specially announced to experience benefits like simple user interface, which makes the mobility easier for new smartphone users and it also provides localized entertainment applications. This smartphone comes in three different colors. They are Black, White and Wine Red. This smartphone is a Dual SIM smartphone and provides dual standby. This device supports both 2G and 3G networks and their bands are GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900 and UMTSB1- 210, UMTSB8-900. The size of the SIM card suitable for this smartphone is Micro-SIM (3FF).

    The Samsung Z1 is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and this helps the device to offer smoother, faster and easier experience to the user. The Spreadtrum SC7727S is the chipset used in this device. On the other hand, the graphics processor is made with Mali-400 which provides nice picture quality to this device. This device has a Random Access Memory of about 768MB this memory capacity of RAM is sufficient for this Tizen based smartphone. This device provides an internal memory of 4GB and the memory can be extended through micro SD card slot up to 64GB. The battery capacity of this device is 1500 mAh. This battery is user replaceable. This battery provides a talk time of about 8 hours in 3G mode and a video playback time of around 7 hours. The internet usage time in this Samsung Z1 is up to 7 hours in 3G mode and it provides up to 10 hours of usage time, while using internet over Wi-Fi. This device also contains Accelerometer sensor.

              This smartphone comes with 4.0 inches PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen display. This display has a resolution of about 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of about 233 ppi. Multitouch option is available in this smartphone. Moreover, this display of Samsung Z1 can reproduce up to 16 Million colors. The Dimensions of this smartphone is 120.4 x 63.2 x 9.7 mm and this device weights up to 112 grams which is very light weight when compared to other smartphone.
                The Main camera of this smartphone comes with CMOS 3.1 Mega Pixels. This camera supports flash. One negative point about this camera is that, it has no auto focus. The main camera has LED flash support. This camera can take photos with a resolution of about 2048 x 1536 pixels. Some of the features available in this main camera of Samsung Z1 are Auto Face Detect Feature, Geo-tagging and Dream Shot. The secondary camera comes with 0.3 Mega Pixels VGA camera and this camera does not have LED flash. The primary camera is capable of recording video at a resolution of about 640 x 480 with a frame rate of 15 fps.
This smartphone has location technologies like GPS and Glonass. This Tizen based smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and moreover it also supports Wi-Fi Direct. This Samsung Z1 comes with Bluetooth version 4.1 and has Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, HSP, PBAP, OPP, PAN, AVRCP and HFP. This phone supports microUSB 2.0 and has a 3.5 mm stereo earjack. This smartphone does not support DLNA, NFC, ANT+ and MHL. FM radio is inbuilt with this Samsung Z1.
This device comes with Tizen Operating System, which comes with free entertainment package named “ Joy Box”, which contains Club Samsung, Hungama, nexGTv ,Box Tv and FM Radio. The Ultra Power Saving mode is available in this smartphone which extend the standby time of the battery, while surfing web. Offline web and maps are available in this smartphone. This device comes with in-built 14 regional languages .
